Dear friend,

 

As your candidate for the former Cardiff Central seat at the 2021 Senedd election, I delivered one of only two second places the Lib Dems achieved anywhere in Wales.

 

And at the 2024 General Election, as your candidate in the successor seat of Cardiff East, I took us back to second place at a Westminster election for the first time since 2015 – with the biggest swing to the Lib Dems from Labour in a Labour-held seat anywhere in the UK.

 

With the new electoral system for next year’s Senedd election, and growing disenchantment with Labour, we now have a great opportunity to gain a seat here and put ourselves back on the Welsh political map.

 

I believe I am the candidate best placed to deliver that, building on my efforts at the last two elections.
